This is for organisations that require personnel to be responsible for the Fire Risk Assessments in their area of work. This will be a one or two day course (depending on the level of competence required and whether a Fire Risk Assessment has already been carried out) and the course content will include:

Courses for Residential Care Home Staff There is also a 3 and a half Hour course designed for Residential Care Home workers and Hospital staff. 3 and a half hour Fire Warden Course. Designed for members of Staff to comply withThe Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006. Particularly Reg. 12.(3) a & b. and Reg.14(1) a & b. The course includes: The principles of Fire Science and Fire Spread, Common causes of fire, Fire Safety features within the Home Initial Action on discovery of Fire Evacuation Procedures (as part of the Emenrgency Fire Action Plan) Fire Precautions Regulations and Legislation (incl employees responsibilities) Understand how Fire Safety issues should be managed in the workplace The safe and effective use of portable fire fighting equipment Fire Safety awareness in the workplaceThis three hour course would meet the needs of your staff and be compliant with "The Regulations." This course costs £290 inclusive of course notes. There is a limit of 20 persons per course. This equates to £14.50 per delegate with a maximum of 20 Because of shift work and holidays it is often required to have more than one training session. If both sessions can take place in the same day/ night the costs would be reduced to £520 rather than £580.
